The Vision

Here at New Life our vision is:

“Advancing the Kingdom of God with passion and purpose”

Our mission for New Life College is to train, equip and empower people to serve God.

We are committed to training great leaders that we can send back to churches and ministries to take them to the next level, advancing the Kingdom of God.

To enable this vision to become a reality, we believe this programme will expand a person in three significant ways:

Expanding the heart: We want to stir passion in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, devotions and core biblical teachings. We want to provide an opportunity for discipleship that is unique to you.

Expanding your leadership: We want to see people becoming great leaders with a sound biblical foundation and being Spirit led. The world is in growing need for great leaders. We want to provide sound biblical and theological teaching that allows upcoming leaders, helping you understand the Why of what they believe. We also desire to challenge upcoming leaders in the areas of time management, punctuality, work ethic, confidence and organization skills.

Expand your ministry experience: We desire to provide a platform for you to experience the true depths of ministry through a variety of hands-on experience in different areas of the church. You will work alongside great team leaders who will coach you through the different components of ministry.

Shane Mander Director of New Life College shares his heart for the college:

“After completing a 2 year internship programme at Connect Church, I’ve gained a Diploma in Ministry and a Diploma in Christian Leadership. I am passionate about students and seeing them empowered to walk out their calling. It would be a great privilege to walk alongside upcoming leaders, seeing them being trained and equipped for the life of ministry.”

  • Diploma in Ministry (Level 5)

  • Diploma in Christian Leadership (Level 6)

Danica: “My experience over the 2 years of being a student has been fulfilling and at times very challenging. I’ve seen the reality of how demanding ministry is, but through that I’ve seen the grace of God at work in ways that have reminded me of the simple truth that God is in control, my part is to be obedient to His will.”

Claudette: “Being a student for the past 2 years has taught me more than I ever thought. I was told coming into College to not hold any expectations – and I’m so glad I didn’t because whatever they were, God blew them out of the water! Being a student has helped me grow in leadership, gain an understanding of full time ministry and most importantly have a deeper faith and love for God.”

Thomas: “My experience was far beyond what I imagined it would be and taught me so much more than I ever thought it could. From the hands on serving, studying theology and being enabled to use my spiritual gifts in the ministry stretched my faith and character to help shape into the person I am today. My year of interning was priceless and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to grow their faith and get a solid grounding in working for the ministry.”
